1. Where does it go to?
Easy Imex ships four mixed containers a month to these cities:
- Sydney
- Melbourne
- Brisbane
- Felixstowe (UK)
If you’re within a few hours of any of these cities then you can use our mixed container service.
2. When does it leave?
The mixed containers depart every 4-10 weeks.
Sometimes the mixed containers leave once or twice per month. And at other times 2 or 3 months apart.
It all depends how quickly the container is filled up by our members orders.
However, we do guarantee that for less than full container shipments, our mixed container service is THE cheapest way to import.
IMPORTANT: If time frames are tight, then you may consider organising an LCL shipment instead. Delays can occur. INFORM your account manager of the latest date you can afford the goods to arrive.
3. What happens when I book space on the container?
Your account manager will quote you based on the exact cubic metres you have ordered.
They will keep you informed when the goods are expected to leave and when they should arrive in your city.
4. How much can I save?
The current “all in” cost is approximately $160 AUD per cubic metre (this is subject to change) for the Australian mixed containers.
And £65 per cubic metre for the UK mixed container.
This is the same cost, as if you were importing a full 20 foot container yourself
Often LCL shipments can cost $250+ (or £120+) a cubic metre “all in”. So if you have a 5 cubic metre order you can often save $500.
5. How does it work?
Essentially we combine small orders from Easy Imex members into one container and pass the savings onto you.
This allows you to ship your goods at the same price you would if importing full container loads yourself.
The major advantages are twofold. Firstly you save money. Secondly, we ensure your goods are packed carefully into the container, so they’re not damaged before leaving the port.
This is a commonly overlooked problem when importing goods from China.
